The Breckenridge Gondola:  Riding the Free BreckConnect

As you ride up and down the Breckenridge Gondola, aka the BreckConnect, you will see breathtaking views of the mountains, fields, and city below.

Stop off to visit Peak 7 and Peak 8 for fun activities, go on a tour of the city, do some shopping downtown, or grab some delicious food to eat.

The city of Breck, as it’s often called, is located about 2 hours west of Colorado Springs and about 1.5 hours west of Denver.

Where is the Breckenridge Gondola?

Getting to Breckenridge is pretty easy. Just drive west from Denver on Interstate 70 and get off on the Frisco exit. Follow the signs and head south to Breckenridge.

The BreckConnect is typically open daily, no matter the weather. It only closes for a short time during the year for calving or rutting seasons.

When does the Breckenridge Gondola open?

Once at the top of the lift you can get off the Gondola and explore Peak 8.
